Overlap of Mesh too short

The overlap of the mesh that the same owner was installing in his footing was at best only 80mm instead of the 500mm required by the BCA. I had also pointed out to him that this installation was wrong and would fail its inspection but you now know that the surveyors inspector gave him the thumbs up to proceed and pour his concrete!!
